Contract groups

Groups let you organise related contracts and work with them together.

For example, create a group for every lending market deployed by a factory, or every vault holding USDC.

A contract can belong to multiple groups.

Groups let you:

View and compare contracts together.

Add columns from contract reads across every member.

Track values and apply monitors across the group.

Use the group as a source for custom tables.

Columns and monitors apply to every contract in the group, including new members.

Create a group

Go to Contracts and select + Group.

Give the group a name, then choose how contracts are added:

Manually — Select contracts already in your workspace.

From a registry — Read a function that returns a list of contract addresses.

From a factory — Discover new contracts from events emitted by a factory.

For registry and factory groups, contract.dev watches discovered contracts that aren’t already in your workspace and adds them to the group.

Automatic discovery

Groups populated from a registry or factory stay in sync automatically.

contract.dev checks for new contracts every five minutes. Newly discovered contracts are watched and added to the group, including any columns and monitors configured for it.

You can also select Sync now from a group’s menu to refresh it manually.

Manage groups

Your groups appear in the sidebar on the Contracts page.

Select a group to view its contracts. Use its menu to edit membership, sync discovery or remove the group.

Removing a group does not remove its watched contracts from your workspace. Group-specific columns and monitors are removed.
